For as long as I was into photography, I have wanted a digital Leica rangefinder camera. Something about carrying an extremely compact yet highly capable camera that was all about simplicity and manual controls drew me in. The prices for new ones were well out of my realistic reach and even used ones commanded a price that I was not comfortable paying. Until now. Enter a new-to-me Leica M10 in black chrome.

The Past Month in Pictures
Here is a mix of shots from hiking, biking and whenever else I have a camera in hand. All of the shots were taken on a Fujifilm X-Pro3 and many with the Voigtlander 23mm f/1.2 X mount lens.
My Last Few Days in Austin
After spending 5 nights in Austin, my wife and I are back at home. The city was great and we loved exploring it. Hopefully if we make it back it won’t be raining daily and things won’t be flooded.
Another Day in Austin
Today was our 2nd full day in Austin, Texas, and despite a weather report full of rain and thunderstorms, the day turned out surprisingly well. After a quick stop to get an exterior shot of the Driskill Hotel in the rain, I took another long walk and ended up at Rose Bud Isle park, which ended up having large parts underwater from the flooding. It wasn’t a total wash though, as the dam above the park was cool sight with all of the water being let go.
After some relaxing in the hotel room, my wife and I headed out for dinner and ended up walking around a bit before waiting for the bats to wake up and fly out from the Congress Avenue bridge. There are apparently a million of them living under the bridge and every night they fly out to go hunting.
