My wife and I have recently returned from our latest trip to Mexico. We went down with some friends and had a great time together. My basic camera kit came along for the trip as well.
In order to try and pack somewhat light, I brought along the X-Pro2, Rokinon 12mm, Fuji 18-55mm, 23mm f/2 and 35mm f/1.4. While this may seem like a lot, the kit is very compact and rather lightweight all together. The kit, along with a Surface Pro 4, accessories, Velbon Ultra Maxi tripod and other stuff all fit into my backpack as my carry on personal item on the plane. This kit let me shoot essentially everything I needed. Long exposures on the beach at night were no issue and the 18-55mm served well during the day on the beach to prevent changing lenses most often.
My family and I just returned from a few days in Florida to visit family. The break from the cold of winter was very welcome and the chance to relax was much needed. Even though the camera wasn’t out much, I managed to get some interesting shots.
My family and I just returned from a quick trip to Florida to visit her Grandparent’s at their winter retreat. The day that we left, a few inches of snow were forecast to drop on our house, but we had already landed in Florida by the time that started. We were greeted with breezy 70 degree air and bright sunshine. As always, I try to get some non-family pictures and here are my favorites.
What better time to take a trip to a warm Caribbean climate than the dead of winter? My wife and I both thought the same thing and booked a trip to the Dreams Resort in Puertos Aventura’s in Mexico. We spent 4 nights relaxing and getting away from it all. We snorkeled in the ocean, in a cenote and in a cave. Dayna swam with Dolphins, Sea Lions and Manatee’s. The resort threw a huge Super Bowl party complete with fake stadium displays, workers dressed as Cheerleaders, Security guards, players and referee’s. Plenty of food as well. There were beautiful sights, quiet nights and no work at all. A fantastic trip.
