Pixii Digital Rangefinder on Landscape Duty As I continue to learn about the new to me Pixii A2572+ digital rangefinder camera, I want to push it into situations that it shouldn’t perform well in to see what it can do. With the day off of work, the plan today was to hike around a new waterfalls area and then finish off the day at my favorite spot, Ohiopyle State Park. I brought along my usual Nikon Zf with Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 setup, but I also tossed the Pixii in the bag with 2 lenses, the Voigtlander 28mm f/1.5 and Laowa 11mm f/4.5 and some circular polarizers. All of the images in this post, minus the picture of the Pixii camera, were taken with the Pixii A2572+. The first stop was Stewarton Falls just outside of Mill Run, PA. I haven’t been to this area yet and was excited to try a new spot. Thankfully, it rained pretty heavily for the past few days and the stream feeding this waterfall was overflowing. Combine that with the overcast/cloudy sky and the light was soft, foliage was green and the colors were pretty good.
