Early morning is a great time to catch some of the local bird population starting their day. After a cup of coffee, I headed out to the top of a local lake/marsh area to see what was out. In a short time I saw a Red Shouldered Hawk (above), some ducks, a Belted Kingfisher, Pileated Woodpecker, Green Heron and some other birds as well. Not a bad way to start the day.
While camping this weekend at Laurel Hill State Park, a big storm ripped through the area and caused quite a bit of damage. Many trees, power lines and other things were knocked down. Thankfully, in the park we were in, no one was hurt.
The past few weeks have been busy with life. We did get a camping trip in and walked around our towns end of summer festival though. Images are from the Leica M10. I’m absolutely loving shooting with the rangefinder. The Fuji is sitting on the shelf too much.
The new-to-me Leica M10 came along for a walk this evening with the Voigtlander 35mm f/1.4 Nokton Classic II and TTArtisan 50mm f/1.4 ASPH. The overall kit is quite compact, if a bit heavy. Well worth the heft though, as everything just feels solid.
