Today was the day for my annual take a day off of work and go hike around taking pictures of fall leaves. It did not disappoint. The sun was out, the leaves were all kinds of colors and the scenery was spectacular.

Hiking Around Layton Bridge
A short hike around the Layton Bridge produced some stunning views. The terrain is very steep and rocky and there are a few cliff edges you don’t want to fall off of, but the views are worth it. Images taken on a Fujifilm X-Pro3 with either a Voigtlander 23mm f/1.2 X mount or a Laowa 9mm f/2.8. Both had circular polarizers attached to cut down on glare.

Short Hike Around Virgin Run Lake
A short hike around a local lake resulted in a decent number of keepers. I mostly used my new favorite lens, the Voigtlander 23mm f/1.2 in X mount on the X-Pro3 with a CPL attached. This combo feels so good to use and the imagery is spectacular. The only time the Voigt was detached was when I snuck up on some deer and put on the Fuji 70-300mm to get up close and personal.
