So I was out for an easy bike ride on the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP) rail-trail that goes between Pittsburgh, PA and ends in Washington D.C. when I came across a few guys staring up into the trees. Since I have seen some Bald Eagle’s in the area, I stopped and asked what they were looking at and sure enough, they said an eagle nest.

Adding a Fuji 150-600mm lens to the collection
Wildlife photography has always drawn me in, but I’ve never had a super telephoto lens to really be able to capture the images I’ve wanted too. The Fuji 70-300mm telephoto is a great compact piece of kit, but I’ve longed for more reach. So after saving up, the Fuji 150-600mm f/5.6-8 R LM OIS WR lens was ordered.

First Images with the new Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 lens
Having a small standard zoom that has a bright f/2.8 aperture throughout is a very nice to have, so I ordered the newly released Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 for Fuji X mount. After a few days with it and a variety of shooting, I think it’s a great option for Fujifilm shooters.

Enter the Fujifilm X-T5
The urge to upgrade to the newly released Fujifilm X-T5 was strong and was solidified by fighting with the autofocus system of my old (hint hint) X-Pro3 in a dimly lit gym trying to keep track of my daughter doing her gymnastics routine. After that night of struggling with the focus and the camera just getting in my way, I made a rash decision to sell the X-Pro3 and try to find an X-T5 in stock somewhere. Lo and behold, within 30 minutes of listing the X-Pro3 kit for sale it sold and I managed to find an in stock silver X-T5 that arrived 2 days later.
